-
1 lb ground chicken
-
1 bell pepper, diced
-
1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz tomato sauce (1 can)
-
1/4 cup ketchup
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
4 hamburger buns
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-

Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced bell pepper and onion; cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
-
Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute, being careful not to burn it.
-
Add ground chicken to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook for 5-7 minutes until fully browned and no longer pink.
-
Pour in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine well.
-
Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
-
While the chicken simmers, toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
-
Spoon the chicken mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Add any optional toppings you prefer, then place the top buns on.
-
Serve immediately while hot.
