Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Panda Express Copycat

Ingredients

Chicken:

 
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Mix marinade ingredients and coat chicken. Marinate 30–60 minutes.

  • Heat oil in cast-iron skillet. Press chicken with a second pan. Cook 3–4 mins per side until 170°F.

  • In a saucepan, whisk all sauce ingredients. Simmer until thickened.

  • Slice chicken and serve with sauce.
