Easy Cheddar Garlic Chicken Bake Recipe

 

Creamy cheddar garlic chicken bake is an easy, flavorful dinner made with tender chicken, cream cheese, and cheddar in one pan.

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced or pressed

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Optional: chopped green onions or chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  • In a medium mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese, sour cream, 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, and garlic until smooth and well combined.

  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Arrange them in a single layer in a large baking dish.

  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the top of the chicken. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the mixture.

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

 

  • Optionally, garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.
