Description

This creamy chicken linguine is a quick and comforting dinner featuring tender chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, and a luscious garlic-Parmesan cream sauce with a bright touch of lemon. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 8 oz linguine pasta

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Sauce Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup chicken broth

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine until al dente according to the package directions. Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.

  • Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Season the cubed chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the softened butter over medium heat. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer gently for about 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Combine:
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the drained linguine and toss everything together to coat in the sauce. Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, and lemon juice. If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

  • Serve:
Garnish with extra chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
