Easy creamy pepper jack chicken recipe with bacon and ranch seasoning—perfect for a quick, flavorful family dinner or game day meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning mix (about 1 packet)

  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (about 1/2 cup)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional for slow cooker method)


Instructions

Slow Cooker Method:

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper evenly over the chicken. Add chicken broth if using.

  2. Add dollops of softened cream cheese on top of the chicken.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is tender.

  4. Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker and stir to mix with the cream cheese.

  5. Add shredded pepper jack cheese and crumbled bacon, stirring until cheese melts and ingredients are combined.

  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Stovetop Method:

 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through and browned. Remove and shred.

  2. In the same skillet, add softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until cream cheese is melted and smooth.

  3. Add shredded chicken, shredded pepper jack cheese, and crumbled bacon. Stir until cheese melts and mixture is combined.

  4. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
