Easy sausage and tater tot breakfast casserole packed with eggs and cheese—perfect for a hearty brunch or holiday morning meal.

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage

  • 8 large eggs

  • 1 cup 2% milk

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 cup shredded cheese

  • 1 pound frozen tater tots

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it into small pieces. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Remove from heat.

  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread the cooked sausage evenly across the bottom.

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage in the baking dish.

  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the egg mixture.

  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese. Do not press them down into the egg mixture.

  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the center is set and no longer wet.

 

  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
