Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 23 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese for serving, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth and cook for about 5 minutes until thickened to your preference.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of sugar if the sauce tastes too acidic.
  5. Drain pasta and toss with the sauce, adding a splash of pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
