  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup cheddar or Colby Jack cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced red onion (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a muffin tin on a baking sheet. Lightly spray muffin cups with cooking spray.
  2. Gently press each wonton wrapper into a muffin cup, creating a cup shape with the corners extending upward.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Divide the BBQ chicken mixture evenly among the wonton cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over each filled wonton cup.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until wonton edges are golden brown and cheese is completely melted.
  7. Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before carefully removing from the muffin tin.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. For extra flavor, drizzle with additional BBQ sauce before serving.

For extra-crispy cups, pre-bake the empty wonton wrappers for 3-4 minutes before filling.
