Crispy beef rolls filled with seasoned ground beef, cranberries, walnuts, and cheese, served with homemade sweet chili sauce.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 12 inches fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup finely shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 810 egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Sweet Chili Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves, grated
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in olive oil until browned. Add garlic, ginger, chili oil, honey, and sesame oil. Continue cooking for 2 minutes.
  2. Mix in carrots, cranberries, walnuts, and parsley. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  3. Add mozzarella to the warm mixture and combine.
  4. Place filling on egg roll wrappers, fold bottom corner over filling, fold in sides, moisten top corner with water, and roll tightly to seal.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F and fry rolls for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For sauce, combine sugar, honey, and water in a saucepan and bring to a bubble.
  7. Mix flour and water to create a slurry. Add to saucepan with vinegar, garlic, pepper flakes, and paprika.
  8. Simmer sauce 8-10 minutes until thickened.
  9. Serve beef rolls with sweet chili sauce for dipping.

Notes
