Crispy Baked Chicken Legs

Perfectly seasoned chicken legs baked to crispy-skinned, juicy perfection in under an hour.

 

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks (about 2 lb)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
  2. Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and place in a bowl or plastic bag.
  3. Add olive oil to chicken and toss until coated.
  4. Combine all seasonings in a small bowl, then add to chicken and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Arrange drumsticks on baking sheet with space between each piece.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Optional: Broil for final 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  8. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
