Description: A creamy and flavorful Chicken Salad Chick recipe inspired by the beloved Southern chain. Easy to make, versatile, and perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds chicken tenderloins

  • 32 ounces chicken broth or stock

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 23 stalks celery, finely diced (about ½ cup)

  • ½ red onion, finely diced (about ½ cup)

  • 1 tablespoon dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (spicy or original)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Place chicken tenderloins in a large pot and cover with chicken broth.

  • Simmer gently for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.

  • Remove chicken from the pot and let it cool slightly.

  • Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces using two forks.

  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, onion, ranch mix, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  • Fold the shredded chicken into the dressing until evenly coated.

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4–5 days.

Notes

  • Poaching the chicken in broth instead of water gives it extra flavor and tenderness.

  • For a lighter option, swap half of the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.

  • Add grapes, nuts, or jalapeños for fun variations.
