  • 1 box of fudge brownie mix (about 15.25 ounces)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons lemon-lime soda
  • 1012 mini candy canes
  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream
  • Green food coloring
  • Festive sprinkles
  • 1012 small star candies
  • Mini chocolate candies (like M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix brownie mix, oil, eggs, and soda until combined; pour into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 15-17 minutes until edges are set. Cool 15 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate 1-2 hours until completely cool.
  4. Break the curved tops off candy canes, leaving straight pieces for tree trunks.
  5. Beat powdered sugar, butter, and cream until fluffy; add green food coloring to desired shade.
  6. Cut brownies into tree shapes and insert candy cane pieces into bottoms as trunks.
  7. Pipe green frosting onto trees in decorative patterns.
  8. Add sprinkles, star candies on top, and mini chocolate candies as ornaments.
  9. Allow to set 15 minutes before serving.
