Creamy Bacon Chicken Recipe

  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • All-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon into pieces and cook in a large skillet until crispy. Remove bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, leaving 2 tablespoons of fat in the pan.
  2. Slice chicken breasts lengthwise into four cutlets. Season with garlic powder and pepper, then lightly coat with flour.
  3. Cook chicken in bacon fat for 4-5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and butter to the skillet. Simmer 3-4 minutes until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream until bubbling, then return chicken and bacon to the skillet.
  6. Simmer 5 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
