Tender chicken cutlets in a rich, velvety garlic cream sauce that’s ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour for dredging
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 whole head garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts lengthwise into 4 cutlets. Season with salt and pepper, then coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4-5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic cloves. Cook 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Simmer 4 minutes until reduced.
  5. Stir in cream, then return chicken to the pan. Simmer 5 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try using chicken thighs instead of breasts. The sauce can be customized with herbs or Parmesan cheese. Nutrition facts are estimates and may vary based on ingredients used, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
