This velvety smooth white cheese dip comes together in minutes using your microwave, creating a perfect party appetizer or game day snack.

 

Ingredients

  • ½ pound White American Cheese roughly chopped into 1″ pieces
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green chile frozen or canned will work fine
  • 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeno slices diced fine
  • 1 tablespoon juice from the pickled jalapenos
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • dash of cumin

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium size glass microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 5 minutes total, stopping to stir after each minute.
  3. The dip will appear very watery at first but will thicken as cooking progresses.
  4. After the final minute, stir well to ensure complete smoothness.
  5. Serve immediately while hot for the best dipping consistency.

Notes

For spicier queso, add additional jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days and reheat gently in the microwave at 50% power, stirring frequently.
