Easy Baked Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or as needed)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper or to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove chicken from refrigerator 15 minutes before cooking. Preheat oven to 450°F with rack in top third of oven.
  2. Combine all spices and seasonings in a small bowl.
  3. Place chicken in baking dish or on foil-lined baking sheet. Coat completely with olive oil using your hands.
  4. Apply spice mixture generously to all sides of oiled chicken.
  5. Bake uncovered for 18-20 minutes (adjust for size) or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest 5 minutes before serving. Spoon pan juices over chicken if desired.

Cooking time varies based on chicken breast size – smaller pieces may need only 15 minutes, while larger ones could require up to 25 minutes. Always use a meat thermometer for perfect results.
