Crumbl Sugar Cookie Copycat Recipe

Thick, soft sugar cookies with sweet almond frosting that perfectly recreate the famous Crumbl bakery favorite at home.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (222g) salted butter
  • 1 cup (230g) granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 3 cups (456g) all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (111g) salted butter, softened
  • 3 cups (321g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 13 tbsp milk
  • neon pink food coloring, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract. Beat until combined.
  4. Mix in flour and baking powder until thoroughly combined.
  5. Scoop 1/4 cup dough portions and roll into balls.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly using the bottom of a glass.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes until centers are puffed and no longer glossy.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet.
  9. Make frosting by creaming butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar, almond extract and milk until creamy.
  10. Add pink food coloring if desired.
  11. Spread frosting on slightly warm cookies for a smooth finish.
  12. Refrigerate cookies until completely cool before serving.
