Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds large tail-on shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 30 to 35 shrimp)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh flat-leaf parsley, plus more for serving
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (375-400°F).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and parsley until well combined. Reserve ¼ cup of this mixture in a separate small bowl.
  3. Add the shrimp to the bowl with the remaining garlic butter mixture and toss until evenly coated. Let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto 6 skewers, dividing evenly.
  5. Place skewers on the preheated grill and cook without moving for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Flip the skewers and continue cooking until shrimp are opaque and lightly charred, another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Transfer the skewers to a serving platter, brush with the reserved garlic butter, and garnish with additional parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the shrimp.

Notes

For wooden skewers, soak in water for at least 15 minutes before use to prevent burning. Watch shrimp carefully while cooking—they’re done when they form a “C” shape. Nutrition facts are estimates and may vary based on ingredients used, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
