Crispy french fries topped with melty cheese, bacon, and fresh toppings for the ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 26 oz frozen french fries (I use thin-cut, but you can use the fries of your choice)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cup shredded cheese (I like cheddar)
  • 6 strips crispy cooked bacon
  • ⅓ cup diced fresh tomatoes
  • 1 jalapeño sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 2 scallions sliced
  • Sour cream drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to french fry package directions (typically 400-450°F).
  2. Spread french fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake a few minutes longer than package states for extra crispiness (about 20 minutes at 450°F for thin-cut fries).
  3. Remove from oven, lower temperature to 400°F, and sprinkle fries with garlic powder, cayenne, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  4. Transfer half the fries to a cast iron skillet, top with ¾ cup cheese and crumbled bacon.
  5. Add remaining fries, top with remaining cheese and bacon. Bake 4-5 minutes until cheese melts.
  6. Top with tomatoes, jalapeño, avocado, scallions, and sour cream before serving immediately.
