Homemade Muesli Recipe

A nutritious, lightly toasted muesli blend featuring oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits for a healthy breakfast option.

  • 4 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup raw sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup raw pepitas
  • 1/4 cup raw chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Combine oats, almonds, pepitas, pecans, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes until nuts are fragrant.
  4. Remove, stir mixture, then sprinkle coconut flakes evenly on top.
  5. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes until coconut is lightly golden.
  6. Cool on wire rack for at least 10 minutes.
  7. Add dried fruits and toss until combined.
  8. Serve or store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
