Spicy Salmon Bites

Quick and delicious spicy salmon bites with an Asian-inspired sauce that’s ready in just 15 minutes. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 to 2 tsp. Sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 lb. skinless salmon
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, Sriracha (starting with 1/2 teaspoon), and ginger. Adjust spice level to taste.
  2. Cut salmon into 1-inch cubes and toss in the sauce mixture to coat evenly.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add salmon pieces in a single layer along with clinging sauce. Cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until browned underneath.
  5. Turn salmon pieces to expose unbrowned sides to the pan surface. Cook an additional 1-3 minutes until desired doneness.
  6. Transfer to a serving platter with any sauce from the pan and rest for 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds before serving.
